Austin, Texas
Holy snarf bones, Austin is the best! This town rolls out the red carpet for pups. There are plenty of dog-friendly, super cool resorts for me to rest my head. I was treated like a Kardashian at all the restaurants and my folks LOVED the food and cocktails. There were also numerous activities and shopping opportunities. Pro tip: we went in late May. It can get hot on your paws, so you may want to invest in some dog booties. Below are my list of top resorts, restaurants, and activities.

2. Intersteller BBQ
My mom went to the University of Texas and has had her share of Texas BBQ and loved Interstellar. We had to try this Michelin-rated BBQ. We went on a Wednesday at 10:30 and still waited a little over an hour to get our order in, but it was worth it. Not much to the ambiance, but they did let me inside the restaurant vs. relegating us to the patio, which was nice.

Activities
1. Inner Diva Studios Puppy Yoga
Ok, so technically I wasn’t allowed to attend the Puppy Yoga, but for my dog obsessed mom, my parents were able to work on their downward dog will being smuthered in puppies. The puppies were all available from a local shelter. As a fellow rescue, I appreciate this cause.

Products
1. DcOaGt Dog Shoes
Austin is such an incredible city but it gets HOT in the summer. That pavement can be a bitch on my little dog paws. I’ve tried these out and they work great on hot pavement, mud, and gravel. I’ll be honest. When my parents first put these on me, I was like WTF. I’m freaking out. I walked funny for a few minutes but then got used to them. Give them a try. You will thank me.
