San Miguel's Mexican Cafe
Hilton Head, South Carolina
San Miguel’s Mexican Café in Shelter Cove is basically my humans’ version of a fiesta on the docks—authentic, fresh Mexican food, award-winning margaritas, and a breezy waterfront patio that even I approve of for quality people-watching. It’s lively, laid-back, and dog-friendly—perfect for tacos, tequila, and tail wags.
Nacho Review
San Miguel’s Mexican Café is where my humans go for tacos and tequila, and I go for the VIP dog treatment—which included my own water bowl and a plate of chicken (finally, someone gets it). The vibe is festive but relaxed, the Mexican food is legit, and it’s right on the Shelter Cove marina, which means scenic views while I plot seagull takedowns. Price point is a solid $$ out of $$$$.

Mom & Pop’s 2-Cents
My humans were in full fiesta mode at San Miguel’s—something about “authentic flavors,” “killer marina views,” and “we should always eat with live music and tequila.” Meanwhile, I was just thrilled no one questioned the chicken on my plate.

Final Thoughts
San Miguel’s hit all the right notes—my humans got their sizzling fajitas and fruity drinks, and I got surprise chicken like I’m some kind of celebrity. Honestly, if more places treated dogs like dinner guests instead of furry furniture, I’d consider wearing pants.
