Smokehouse BBQ

Hilton Head, South Carolina

From my pampered pooch point of view, Smokehouse BBQ in Hilton Head is basically canine nirvana with a side of smoky ribs—humans get craft beers, live sports, and hearty barbecue classics ($$), while I get to supervise from the pet-friendly deck, occasionally sneaking a rib when no one’s looking. With a fireplace, rooftop bar, and a grill menu so meaty it practically barks, it’s perfect for BBQ aficionados and pups.

   Nacho Review

Smokehouse BBQ in Hilton Head is where meat dreams come true—humans get slow-smoked everything and I get to sniff the air like it’s a five-star tasting menu. The vibe is laid-back, the rooftop bar makes everyone feel cooler than they are, and the pet-friendly patio means I don’t have to stage a protest in the parking lot. Price point is a comfortable $$ out of $$$, but honestly, I’d pay in belly rubs for just one rib.

Mom & Pop’s 2-Cents

My humans basically turned into cavemen at Smokehouse BBQ—grunting over smoked meats, licking their fingers like savages, and declaring it “the best meal of the trip” while I patiently waited for my turn with the cornbread crumbs.

  • 🍖 What My Folks Ordered:
    • Smokehouse Plate – they split this glorious pile of pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, smoked chicken, and baby back ribs, with fries, potato salad, and cornbread.

  • 🔥 Top Recommended Dishes:
    • St. Louis Style Ribs – messy, meaty, and 100% worth the wet wipes.

    • Pulled Pork Sandwich – simple, saucy, satisfying.

    • Smoked Chicken Wings – crisped skin, juicy center, pure magic.

    • BBQ Mac & Cheese – the side that steals the show.

    • Burnt Ends (when available) – aka the unicorn of barbecue.

  • 🍹 Top Recommended Cocktails & Beverages:
    • Bourbon Smash – sweet, smoky, and dangerously drinkable.

    • Smoked Old Fashioned – comes with a side of swagger.

    • Spiked Sweet Tea – Southern charm in a glass.

    • Local craft beer – because nothing says “vacation” like beer and barbecue.

Final Thoughts

My folks loved the BBQ and pet pet-friendly patio. This is a popular spot so you may have to wait a few, but the food is worth it.
