From my lofty, dog-level view on the Thunderbird Bar and Grill in Santa Fe, it’s the perfect place for humans who crave casual Southwestern comfort food with a view, and pups who just want to soak up the plaza scene.
It’s perched right above the historic Santa Fe Plaza, with a roomy outdoor patio where I can scout every passerby 🍹. For the humans, there are tacos, green‑chile stew, hearty burgers, over 40 beers, 100 tequilas, and killer margaritas and cocktails that taste like vacation—but don’t worry, they save the water bowl for me.

Thunderbird Bar & Grill in Santa Fe is one of my favorite spots to kick back while my humans enjoy tasty Southwestern eats with a view of the historic Plaza. The upstairs patio is perfect for people-watching (and pup-lounging), with friendly staff who always bring me a water bowl while they bring the humans tacos and margaritas. It’s casual, lively, and priced just right at about $ out of $$$—paw-sitively perfect for a relaxed afternoon in the heart of town. 🐾🌮🍹

My humans loved Thunderbird Bar & Grill for its chill, upstairs patio vibes overlooking the Plaza, the classic New Mexican comfort food that made their tails wag, and margaritas that made them giggle a little too loud. Meanwhile, I held down the patio like a pro—looking adorable, sniffing everything, and getting precisely zero bites of enchiladas.
